Supporting Human Rights Defenders in the Occupied Palestinian Territories

BEYOND WALLS, Supporting Human Rights Defenders in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, is a project coordinated by the International Civil Service in collaboration with PSCC (Popular Struggle Coordination Committee-coordination of the popular committees in the fight against the construction of the wall and settlements),ACTIVE VISION (average Israeli activists) NOVA (Spanish NGO) Amisnet Agency (radio Rome)INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION (Belgian NGO that specializes in workshops on safety for human rights defenders), co-funded by the European Commission. The aim of Beyond Walls is to strengthen the work of human rights and non-violent popular resistance carried out by the committees of the Palestinian villages, in coordination with Israeli and international activists.
The actions of the project will be:

• Legal protection for activists arrested or on trial / psychological support to communities affected by the violence /
• Laboratories audodifesa legal / Workshops on the use of media, especially video and radio as a means of defense and promotion of their struggle
• Course on Human Rights and Nonviolent Conflict Resolution / workshops on safety for human rights defenders
• International Seminar on the role of grassroots media in processes of change in the Mediterranean / Promotion of the project in the West Bank / Solidarity missions volunteers SCI
